There is great danger in asking for too much information or documentation for current or prospective employees under certain circumstances. In fact, an Employer s exposure to liability for discrimination are as great as is the exposure for violating the immigration law provisions. Therefore, if you do not have a clear written procedure as to what questions you can ask and what documents you can request, you should have an attorney prepare them for you.
